Somme and Ypres battlefields, 21/04/2006 - 23/04/2006.

Part of the crater that has been preserved at Lochnagar on the Somme battlefields. British engineers planted huge mines underneath German trenches
before one of the main offensives here in 1916. Upon their detonation, the mines created a cloud of mud and dust that rose to a mile in height
(passing aircraft were hit by clods of dirt). The crater is 90 feet in depth and 300 feet in radius.
