  5. Reptile Boy.

Buffy goes with Cordelia to a frat-party, and becomes embroiled in their demon-worshipping cult.

  Great quotes:

  • Cordelia doing her best Eric Cartman impression: "You guys, I hate you guys! (Sniffing)"
  • Cordelia referencing comic books "...in bizzarro world...", release the inner geek Cordelia...
  • Xander's misunderstanding of the English language, "That's not askew, that's cockeyed."

  Fantastic moments:

Cordelia and Buffy in trouble.
  • Willow's description of the Bollywood film the Scoobies are watching at the start of the episode sounds pretty accurate to me.
  • Cordelia's fake laugh is side-creasing funny, especially when we hear it off camera.
  • Willow being in distress (when she can't tell them where Buffy went) and at the same time being angry (when she chastises Giles for not understanding that Buffy is 16) at Giles is delightful.

  Duff Bits:

  • Does anyone else agree with Xander that it's really out of character for Buffy to fall for Tom's smarmy line so quickly? Well maybe she's just doing it to annoy Angel then.
  • Angel was never invited into the frat house; maybe it doesn't apply when there's a party on.
  • Despite the best efforts to make Nick Brendon look like a 17 year old pretending to be 25, It's really obvious that he is in fact 25.

  Dean's comments:

This episode would probably fade from the memory if it wasn't for Buffy wearing that little black dress in the frat house dungeon. The plot is quite thin and stretched out, all that happens is Buffy goes to a party and gets drunk while W and Xander play the dutiful side-kicks. I was pleased with the idea that rich people may only be so because of making a pact with the devil, something I've always suspected.
